ROSEDOWN PLANTATION STATE HISTORIC SITE

Garden Tour Fridays will take place the first Friday of each month at 10am, starting on February 5th.  A guided walking tour of the historic Rosedown Gardens and Outbuildings. 

Civil War Display for the entire month of March from 10am-4pm A display featuring the Civil War in Louisiana will be mounted in the Gift Shop Conference room.  The exhibit will present various aspects of the conflict and will be displayed the entire month to coincide with the annual Port Hudson re-enactment.

45th Annual Audubon Pilgrimage – March 18, 19 and 20th

Join the West Feliciana Historical Society for a fabulous tour of homes.

The Cabildo, The Myrtles Plantation, Rosale Plantation, Vinci Cottage at Virginia, Woodleigh Garden,

Rosedown Plantation, Oakley Plantation and Afton Villa Gardens.  The churches Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Church, United Methodist Church, Grace Church and St. Mary’s Church.  Presenting Living History, the Rural Homestead. 

Night time activities include Royal Street by Candlelight, Cemetery Tour, Robust Hymn Singing, Period Costumes and Vintage Dancers, Audubon Play and the Saturday Light Up the Night Soiree
