St. Francisville, LA – The St. Francisville Symphony Association (SFSA) is pleased to announce that it is sponsoring a seasonal spring concert, entitled Musical Montage, on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 7:00pm at Grace Episcopal Church.

Mr. Jacob Benda, LSU School of Music doctoral candidate and Grace Church organist, has prepared a beautiful concert featuring the works of Bach, Schubert, Fauré, Tavener and other significant composers.  Musicians will include Mr. Benda as conductor/organist/pianist, oboist Grace Woodworth and cellist Alvaro Angulo of the LSU School of Music, and the Grace Church Choir featuring soloists Kristopher Davis, Trey Levy, Michelle Sewell, Ellen Sturgill and Cara Waring.

Treva Tidwell, SFSA President stated, “We are very excited to offer this additional concert for our 2014-15 season.  While our Baroque chamber music series by the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra was a big success this year, this spring concert gives us the opportunity to enjoy vocal and instrumental performances.  If you’ve never attended one of our concerts, give this one a try.  Come as you are and pay what you can.”  Tidwell also noted that children are invited as always.

The St. Francisville Symphony Association (SFSA) is a non-profit community organization that strives to bring the joy of music to the people of West Feliciana Parish through concerts and children’s educational programs.  The SFSA strives to provide monetary support to the music programs and students at West Feliciana Parish Schools in the following ways: free admissions to most concerts; donations to choral and band teachers for use in their programs; sponsorship for students to attend the BRSO Discovery Concerts; and, scholarships to West Feliciana Parish High School graduates who are pursuing a music related career.  Follow the SFSA on facebook at www.facebook.com/StFrancisvilleSymphony.
