  Jackson Hall at 7pm, the Women's Service League will be hosting Merlot and   Masterpieces. Guest artist Elizabeth Leake Mackey will instruct you to paint   your own Masterpiece. Art supplies and food will be provided, you bring your   own wine. A Silent Auction will display artwork by local artists. The American Queen   will land at the river Saturday morning and disembarking there passengers   into town around 8:30am, they will be in town until 1pm.

 

BEAUTIFUL CREATURES CASTING CALL –SATURDAY APRIL 21, 2012

The movie Beautiful   Creatures will be hosting a casting call from 11am until 1pm at the Magnuson   Hotel in the Plantation Room.

THE LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST at Angola on May 3, 4, and 5, 2012

Gates open at 9am,   play starts at 10am.  This two hour   play, as performed by a cast of offenders from Louisiana State Penitentiary   and Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women depicts the complete story of   Jesus' life and resurrection.  These performances   will be presented as a live outdoor event of the grounds of Louisiana State   Penitentiary-Angola.  Tickets are   $10.00 per person and can be purchased from the Louisiana Prison Chapel   foundation by calling 225 931-3664or the LSP Museum  225 655-2592.

ARTS FOR ALL – MOTHERS DAY TOUR OF AREA ART GALLERIES – May 13, 2012
