Memorial Day Weekend

I am back without my luggage in St. Francisville after going to Des Moines Iowa for the National Main Street conference.  It is always nice to travel and for us to remember that sometimes it can be difficult and long and therefore when our guests arrive we want to make them feel welcome and show off our Southern Hospitality.  Yesterday morning started off well until the power went out at the hotel so off I went to the airport and waited for a couple of hours shivering in the airport since the weather turned cool outside in the 50’s and it was finally time to leave, boarded the plane and ready to take off, we taxied and taxied and never lifted off and then turned around and headed back to the terminal, we had hit a bird (just my luck) we sat for awhile on the plane until cleared and ready to take off again, finally making it to Memphis, landing when I should have been taking off for Baton Rouge, after getting off the first plane (of course I was on the last row) thinking I would be spending time in Memphis, I walked off found the departure board and I was right next to the departure gate for my next flight and he actually held the plane for me, if I would have had time, I might have kissed him but had to hurry to board. Mother's Day Weekend
