Labor Day Weekend

St. Francisville will be hopping this Labor Day Weekend, music, BBQ, cars, football and much more!!

 

September 2

 

Music at the Mag – "Late Evening 7:30pm

Music at Que Pasa – Garrett Remson 6:30pm – 9:00pm

 

 

September 2 & 3 – Labor Day Weekend brings SMOKIN IN DA VILLE.

 

West Feliciana Parish Sports Park, Food and Merchandise Vendors, BBQ Cook-Off (Memphis Barbeque Network)

Car Show with Custom, Classic, Hot-Rods, Motorcycles and Trucks

Friday Entertainment – Angola Prison Band and Mo Jeaux

Saturday Entertainment – Delta Drifters & David St. Romain

LSU vs OREGON will be on the big screen on Saturday night.

 

Saturday – September 3rd – Audubon State Historic Site – Oakley Plantation

 

The Plantation Blacksmith from noon until 4pm.  See the plantation blacksmith turn out the ironwork necessary to keep the plantation going.

 

Sunday – September 4th – Audubon State Historic Site – Oakley Plantation

 

Civil War Life – Louisiana Confederates, 11am until 4pm.  A costumed ranger leads a talk and demonstration on the uniforms, camp life, and history of the unit.  The program includes a black powder demonstration.

 

Monday – September 5th – Birdman

 

The DIVA'S will sing and put on a fantastic show.  Supper will be served from 5:30pm until 7:30pm.  There will be lots of seating for the music.  Plan to eat early and then move to the chairs for listening to the show (between 5:30pm-6:30pm).

 

Labor Day Restaurant & Store Openings-

 

Birdman, Magnolia Café, Sonny's Pizza, St. Francisville Inn (breakfast)

Bohemianville Antiques, Border Imports, Grandmother's Buttons, St. Francis Arts and Antiques, Sage Hill, The Shanty Too

and The Wine Parlor.

 

Sunday- September 11th – The Freedom Walk

 

Join the Blue Star Mothers of LA #3 for the "Freedom Walk" starting at 2pm in Parker Park.  Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the Ceremony after the walk along with free food and drinks.  A time of reflection on the lives lost on September 11, 2001 and a time to honor our First Responders, Police Officers, Fire Fighters, Military Troops, Veterans past and present.  For more information call Charie Barber 937-2371, Mary Weller Morse 721-0703 or Sandy Fabre 907-6228.
